We are seeing a huge increase in failures of these infotainment screens, the 8.4 uconnect screen replacement
After about 1-3 years of use, the glue adhesive will separate from the plastic touch layer and cause a bubble that will get worse over time.
This delamination causes the following issues on your Uconnect display:
- Random setting adjustment
- Unable to control settings, AC, calls, phone, radio
- Erratic or random ghost touching
- Embarassing, unslightly appearance with bubbles, peeling, or delamination.
Of course, this failure happens when you are just outside of warranty. The dealer will present you with a $3,400+ bill to replace the infotainment unit. After that, you will have to deal with this every couple years.

My 2018 Pacifica OEM touch screen just stopped responding in the center of the screen.
After a few days of research I came across this website. It was out of stock, however, I found their Amazon Store front. It arrived today!! I followed the Cue screens Video for Chrysler models. Other than a few differences with the Pacifica's bezel everything went exactly as they instructed. I had to turn the car on, off and then on again... And it works perfectly. This SAHM thanks you!!!
I use to be a mechanic and it's things like this that can make life so much simpler that trying to beg for the manufacturer to cover and scheduling multiple trips to the dealer. 1st trip is to inspect / diagnose $, place request for warranty or charge customer $, come back in for installation time and $$. Watch the video's and knock it out yourself. Great customer service and follow up from CUESCREENS. Plug and play for my 2019 WK2 GC. Delamination started Nov 2023 on my 2019.
My 2019 Grand Cherokee was suffering from delamination issues with the factory installed screen. The order arrived very quickly, well packaged and protected with a trim removal tool and plastic tweezers included. As the other reviewer mentioned, the installation probably took around 30 minutes, I was surprised at how quick and easy everything was. The new screen seems to have the same resolution and depth of color as the factory screen with a very responsive touch screen. Very satisfied!
My 2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee needed the screen replaced due to delamination. The screen has excellent resolution just like the original one. Screen was shipped fast and was very well packaged. Fast 30 min install and I was on my way. Glad I didnt have to deal with dealer hassle, they wanted more than twice the price of this screen. Very satisfied and happy, just buy it!
I just finished installing my new screen in my 2020 Grand Cherokee. The installation was pretty straightforward. TIP: Make sure you have something on hand to clean the adhesive off of the housing once you remove the old screen. Rubbing alcohol works great. Overall, it took around an hour and the new screen looks & works great. Highly recommend.
